Beach vacation for fun in the sun

Everybody loves a beach holiday! The little ones can dig in the sand and splashing in the waves. Older ones can swim, sunbathe or simply relax. The inquisitive types can explore marine life, tide pools, and driftwood. The warm breezes and natural beauty are invigorating and restorative. Any trip, however, can cause discomfort, if it does not plan well. Here are things you can do to make your beach holidays easier, safer and more meaningful.

In many parts of the world, people head for their beach holidays in the family car. When planning a trip, always an excellent idea to give the car a good cleaning first. This gives you more space for your luggage. Stock glove box, too, with first aid and personal items such as sunscreen, acetaminophen for headaches, a roll of antacids, a few cough drops, and a few strips. Do not forget a couple of scrunches or pony-trailers for the long hair. Check tires and replace those likely to go flat. Oil change if it is close. Road trips are not great fun when they include breakdowns. And whatever you do, make sure you have a map and a place to keep on hand.

Traveling with children is always a challenge. They can be particularly excited and impatient when they know they go on vacation at the beach. Make sure they have fresh water bottles and snacks to eat. Try a simple car game to pass the time. Most of the kids want to look for the letters of the alphabet on signs. If several people involved can be great fun.

With beach holidays particularly, there is always a need to ensure the safety of the skin. Be especially careful in the sun for long periods of time 10:00-4:00 Use a sunscreen with a high SPF rating and replace it after getting wet or dry with a towel. The towel you choose can cause a change. Thick towels get heavy and tend to catch a heap of sand. You may find you like thin towels at the beach. Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes and some sort of foot protection to keep your feet from being burned in the hot sand.

With a little preparation, your beach holidays can be enjoyable and trouble free. When you arrive home relaxed, refreshed and ready to work. Take a minute to unpack and get your clothes will. Not until the children belonging shouting, "When can we go on beach holidays again?"
